NAWILIWILI YACHT CLUB RACE REGISTRATION WAIVER The undersigned agrees to
abide by The Racing Rules of Sailing and
all other rules that govern the Nawiliwili Yacht Club races. The undersigned acknowledges that competitive
sailing has inherent risks and that he/she assumes all risk of accident, loss
of property and personal injury or loss of life. The undersigned also acknowledges that the
establishment of any equipment regulations and/or inspections of yachts is
merely for the purpose of ensuring fair competition and neither serves as a
certification that the yacht on which he/she is competing is safe nor
relieves the undersigned of his/her sole and exclusive responsibility to
maintain the yacht in a sound, properly equipped, thoroughly seaworthy and
safe condition. The undersigned represents
that all equipment aboard, but not limited to safety and emergency equipment,
is properly stowed, and has been maintained in good operating condition and
is appropriate for this competition. The undersigned also represents that any
crew permitted aboard the yacht have been instructed in the use and location
of all safety equipment aboard the yacht. The undersigned understands
that any minors carried aboard without their parent or guardian, are the
owner/skippers responsibility and that he/she must, before sailing, obtain a
signed “Parental Consent agreement”, which should include “Consent for
Treatment”. The undersigned understands that it is not the responsibility of
the Nawiliwili Yacht Club to ensure that said agreements have been executed. Forms will be made available in the Yacht
Club files, on the bulletin board, or online at: www.nawiliwiliyachtclub.org/racing. The undersigned
acknowledges that the decision to start and/or continue racing is the sole
and exclusive responsibility of the undersigned. In consideration of the
acceptance of this entry, the undersigned certifies that each of the above
statements and representations are true and accurate and on behalf of
himself/herself and his/her heirs, successors and assigns, hereby releases
and forever discharges Nawiliwili Yacht Club, HYRA, Officers, Board of
Directors, Race Committees and Juries from any and all liability arising out
of his/her participation in the NYC races and all social events connected
therewith, whether such loss is due to property damage, personal injury or
loss of life. The undersigned gives
permission for the free use of his/her name, picture and voice in any
